Not every restaurant carries a rating on every platform, and we won't pretend otherwise — the coverage column above is measured, not aspirational (September 2026). So the score is normalised — it divides by the weights that actually have data. A restaurant that only exists on Yelp is scored on Yelp, not punished for a platform it never appeared on.

What you do control is the 29% of profile management — photos, completeness, response rate, recent activity — and you move that by working your profile, on any plan, including the free one.
🗳️ Customer votes count — with a ceiling. The monthly City, State and National Top lists — and the position on each profile — add a community bonus to the public ratings: votes from customers with a verified FAMER account over the last 90 days. The bonus grows logarithmically and stops at 30 votes, worth a fraction of a star at most: enough to separate close competitors, never enough to lift a weak restaurant over a better-rated one. Owners and their staff cannot vote for their own restaurant, one vote per customer per restaurant per month, and sudden vote spikes are held for review. No plan, purchase or subscription adds a single point.
